2009 และปรากฏตัวเป็นครั้งแรกต่อสาธารณะชนในงาน Thailand
Brass Festival 2009 เมื่อเดือนมีนาคมที่ผ่านมา
ผู้ก่อตั้งวงได้เป็นสมาชิกร่วมการแสดงด้วย
คือ Steve Rosse จาก Sydney
Symphony ประเทศออสเตรเลีย และผู้ร่วมวงอีกสามคน
เป็นตัวแทนนักเรียนไทยจากมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำ

The Star Tuba Quartet Daraa Thai was formed by Steve Rosse and includes his top part-time students in Thailand including Boonchai "Bung" from the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, "Mhee" from Silpakorn University, and "Chi" from Chlalonghorn University. The group was formed in early 2009 at the Thailand Brass Festival and was named "star" at that event by that Festival's host. "Daraa" in Thai means a star as in a movie star, not a star in the sky. The group has since given further perfomances in Bangkok and will be a featured group in the upcoming Thailand Brass & Percussion Festival at Mahidohl University and TubaMania International Festival at SIam Music Yamaha..
